STORAGE FAQs

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OFFICE HOURS AND GATE HOURS?
Gate hours are when your unit is accessible. The Manager is available during office hours.

WHAT TYPE OF LOCK DO I NEED?
We require a disc lock to ensure the highest level of security. You can purchase a new disc lock
from our office or at a hardware store.

DO YOU HAVE VIDEO CAMERAS?
Cameras are located at the point of entry and other areas based on the design of the facility.

WHAT ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED?
Items you should never store in a public storage facility include, but are not limited to, the following items:

  • Live animals
  • Flammable liquids and fuels (All petroleum products – gas, oil, etc…)
  • Explosives
  • Toxic materials
  • Perishables
  • Other items that need a controlled environment

IMPORTANT: It is illegal to store gasoline, so you must drain all gasoline powered tools and vehicles before storing them.

SHOULD I PROTECT MY ITEMS FROM PESTS?
Yes, we recommend you use over-the-counter pest control like ant traps and mouse bait.

ARE MY ITEMS INSURED WHILE IN STORAGE?
You are responsible for insuring your belongings. Review your homeowners or renters policy to see if your items are covered while in storage. If not, you may want to consider buying additional insurance for your valuables.

WHAT DOES “ON-SITE” MANAGER MEAN?
The manager has an apartment on-site as part of the facility.

WHAT’S A ROLL UP DOOR?
Roll-up doors allow you to maximize the use of storage space. They are accessed by sliding a latch and lifting the door upward, similar to the motion of a garage door.
